Our Special Events


Throughout the year, The Children's Museum will offer many special events including promotional events, donor appreciation events, program events and fundraisers. While the Museum is in development and under construction, we have been active in our community through unique programs and other events. Look to see our community involvement and offerings increase when the Museum opens! Until then, we hope to see you at one of the special events listed below.

BOO!seum

This family-oriented program event hosted by The Children's Museum and our volunteer group, The Circle of the Children’s Museum, is held annually in October.

The Chocolate Soiree

The Chocolate Soiree is held annually in March and offers guests an incredible evening of delicious chocolate confections and delightful entertainment. The event is made possible through the generous volunteer support of The Circle of the Children’s Museum.

BI-LO Charity Golf Classic

The Children’s Museum is fortunate to be a recipient of a portion of the proceeds from this fantastic charity golf tournament, hosted by BI-LO. The Classic is the largest and most successful one-day charity golf event in the United States and hosts more than 1,600 golfers at fourteen courses in and around Greenville, South Carolina.

September 13, 2007 Groundbreaking Ceremony

Joined by hundreds of supporters and volunteers, The Children's Museum hosted a special press event on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Museum site at Heritage Green to celebrate raising the $11 million needed to begin construction. The ceremony also marked the beginning of the public phase of fundraising as donors unveiled a rendering of the new Museum. To view photos of the event, click here.
