HIGHLIGHTS MAGAZINE COMES TO LIFE AT THE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM
The beloved children’s publication to bring its most popular activities to the Upstate
We are partnering with An Author World to bring Highlights Magazine to life on Saturday, March 20. Visitors can take part in the Science Corner, find hidden objects around the Museum and even meet the magazine’s Editor. Free with the price of admission, children and their families will enjoy an entire day of activities:
- Hidden Pictures: Visitors can hunt for objects around the Museum or test their searching skills with giant images in the I Can Be Anything Place.
- Crafts: From Critter Containers to Hanging Acrobats to musical instruments, every child will find something to create.
- Science Corner: Visitors can participate in hands-on science experiments that everyone can try at home.
- Story Time: Children and their families will enjoy stories read by Highlights Magazine Managing Editor, Judy Burke.
- Create Your Own Page: Children will have an opportunity to submit their own picture, poem or story to be published in the magazine.
- Meet the Staff: The magazine’s Art Director, Managing Editor, and other staff members will be on-hand to share their stories and answer questions.
Don't Miss the Chocolate Soiree - April 8, 2010
Benefiting The Children's Museum of the Upstate, Chocolate Soiree, a black tie optional event, has become one of the premier fundraising events in the community. Last year more than 1,000 guests were in attendance and over 110 busineses and individuals were sponsors. Celebrating its10th year, Chocolate Soiree will be held at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Greenville on Thursday, April 8th, 2010 at 6:00pm offering guests an incredible evening of delicious chocolate confections and delightful entertainment by The Dirk Howell Band. The event is made possible through the generous volunteer support of The Circle of the Children’s Museum. Tickets $100.

BOO!seum
This family-oriented program event hosted by The Children's Museum and our volunteer group, The Circle of the Children’s Museum, is held annually in October.

Birthday Parties
Birthday parties are lots of fun at The Children’s Museum, and planning is a piece of cake. Our birthday party experts will help you with everything you need for your child's special day from cupcakes and paper goods to your own personal party host. Full payment is required at the time of booking. The Children's Museum requires one (1) adult chaperone per every five (5) children attending the party.
