In December 2003, local benefactors donated the former Greenville County Library building and the surrounding land at Heritage Green in downtown Greenville to be developed into a children’s museum. In the summer of 2007, The Children’s Museum was the beneficiary of tax credits which enabled us to complete the construction of the building in July of 2009 and open to the public.  While the Museum has opened, and we have been successful in raising over $16 million, we are still looking to finish the remaining $3 million left in our capital campaign.
