Our Mission
The Children’s Museum exists to ignite a passion for learning – empowering all children to discover their full potential and expand their view of themselves and the world.
Our Vision
The vision of The Children’s Museum is to be a leader in innovative family activities, a dynamic learning center and a compelling community attraction.
Our History
The Children’s Museum began with one mother’s wish to create a place in Upstate South Carolina where children would be inspired and learn in an informal, hands-on environment. In December 2003, local benefactors donated the former Greenville County Library building and the surrounding land to The Children’s Museum and plans for the Museum began to take shape. Once built, this 79,000 sq foot facility at Heritage Green will become one of the largest children’s museums in the United States.
